While at Texas A&M, I've had to write a few papers over research that interested me. I really enjoyed looking for new information and learning new things in the process, so I've decided to share my favorite ones
Marriage as an Institution
The Concept of a Meal
For this course, I was given the freedom to write over some aspect of what we had read and discussed in class. I also had the opportunity to partake in some service based learning which aided in writing this essay. I was intrigued about how something as simple as a meal wasn't simple at all. The concept of a meal in 2018 was something that was not the same concept in the 1900s, so I just had to write about it.
Criminology
Munchhausen by Proxy
For this course, I also was given the freedom to write over some aspect of what we had read and/or discussed in class. The assignment could have been over any aspect of crime or any case. I chose to write about Munchhausen by Proxy using the case of Gypsy Rose Blanchard because her case was being spoken about often in that time. The Act had just premiered on Hulu and I was enraptured by her story, so I did my own research on it, which can be found below.

Honors Course Contract: Menstruation Celebration
My Honors contract for my PSYC 210: Psych of Human Sexuality course required me to make my own assignment. After discussing the potential projects with my professor, I decided to have a Menstruation Celebration. I chose this because I wanted to take a topic that was not typically talked about and try to normalize having those conversations.
